Nuria Rial - soprano
One of the most sought-after sopranos of her generation for the baroque repertoire, Nuria Rial is regularly invited by the most important European festivals and concert venues and appears in major theaters such as Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin, Grand Théâtre in Geneva and Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa among others. She records exclusively for Sony Classical/DHM. Among her recent recordings: Handel’s Judas Maccabeus, Riccardo Primo, 9 German Arias and Duetti Amorosi (with Lawrence Zazzo); Haydn’s Arie per un amante; Telemann’s German Opera arias; Il primo amore, an album dedicated to Haydn’s pupil Marianna Martines.
Future plans include: Johannes-Passion at the Bozar in Brussels with Collegium 1704 and Vaclav Luks; Weihnachtsoratorium and Messiah with Kammerorchester Basel on a European tour; Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Barcelona under Sir Neville Marriner; a concert with Concerto Köln at the Dresden Frauenkirche; AIDS-Gala in Bonn; a new solo CD with music by Bach with Kammerorchester Basel and Matthew Halls.
